You’re invited to a guided bicycle ride on the

EAST COAST GREENWAY

The 2^nd ANNUAL HUDSON RIVER LOOP TOUR

along the Hudson River waterfront in NJ and NY

 SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11, 2009

 Meet at 8:15 am (longer ride) and 8:45 am (shorter ride)

 Start & end at Fort Lee Historic Park, Fort Lee NJ 07024

   Hudson Terrace (just south of the GW Bridge)

Donation to ECGA welcomed.  Bring money for the ferry ($8) and lunch (optional).

 Please join us for a 17 or 25-30 mile bike ride, the shorter ride at a very easy-going pace of 10-12 mph, and the longer ride at a faster 12-14 mph.

We will explore existing portions of the East Coast Greenway, including the newly developed pathways along the NJ Hudson River waterfront.  The longer ride will continue to Hoboken and Jersey City and explore some of the “newer” paths in those cities as well.   Then after a NY Waterway Ferry ride to Manhattan, we return along the Hudson River Greenway north to the GW Bridge.  ECGA officials will explain recent accomplishments and pending challenges to move the entire route off-road.

We plan to return to Fort Lee Park at about 12:00 noon.   All are welcomed to join us for lunch after the ride at

The ride is open to all.   In addition to building awareness of the Greenway, a goal of this ride is to raise money to support the East Coast Greenway Alliance’s national and state organization, so tax-deductible donations (with checks payable to ECGA) will be appreciated.
